We’re partnering with #Soles4Souls to host a district-wide shoe drive!
From January 20 – February 28, we’ll be collecting NEW and GENTLY USED shoes to support people around the world. These shoes will support the Soles4Souls’ 4OPPORTUNITY program, which helps people in countries like Haiti, Honduras and parts of Africa create small businesses selling shoes and clothing to earn a living.
We are excited to partner with Soles4Souls, who has generously donated new, brand-name athletic shoes through their 4EVERYKID program, helping #BedfordCountySchools McKinney-Vento students.
📍Shoe collection bins are in each of our schools and at the Central Office.

Recently, two outstanding students from #CartwrightElementarySchool visited local radio station #WLIJ and #HopkinsFarmsBroadcasting to share their experiences and excitement about pursuing STEAM designation at their school. They were joined on the air with Director of Communications Carol Garrette by Assistant Principal Malcom Martin, who spoke about the school’s vision and commitment to innovation, creativity and hands-on learning.

Our Literacy & STEAM Night will take place on Friday, March 20th, from 4:30–6:30 PM.
This year’s theme is “Every Book Is a Building Block.” Students will showcase projects that blend reading, creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on STEAM learning. Families will have the opportunity to explore student work, participate in interactive activities, and celebrate the learning taking place across our school.

Our #BedfordCountySchools SRO officers met today to prepare for the county-wide emergency preparedness drill that is scheduled for Friday, March 6, 2026. This drill, conducted in partnership with local law enforcement, first responders and Homeland Security, strengthens coordination, sharpens response skills and helps ensure everyone is ready in case of an emergency. 💪🚓
